Growing up everyone's politics are particularly absent or the same as their parents. I would have told you when I was ten that Al Gore was an idiot and that he wouldn't defend our country the same way W. could. Words from my fathers mouth. Politics is a better word for ideology and ideology is the the enemy of progress. All the great progressions our county have made are the product of compromise. Later on my politics were shaped by living in the ghetto then getting out. We need to get our troops home and fight the war on poverty, the war on gang violence, and the war on racism before we go and fight those exact same wars overseas. what do you even think al qaida is? its just a gang. except those guys don't have lil wayne or lil boosie. Think about how much greater our country's educational system and healthcare system could be if we could invest all of our own money into ourself. Right now your money is going to helping raise children in other countries who will grow into men who would put an ak 47 in your face. We need to stop being the world's police and be our own financial supporter.

Life of the Mind Response
The drawing depicted is a symbolic piece on the relationship of natural resources and the story of Henrietta Lacks. In the drawing we are presented with a grave with a question mark and a tree stump on the side of a hill looking over a barren land. The unmarked grave is symbolic of Henrietta Lacks burial and the tree stump symbolizes how the Lacks family and the Black community in America has been chopped down and used to build up this country without recognition. You may be able to recognize a significant building, piece of art or important structure. However, you would probably never be able to recognize the tree that was chopped down to make it. Henrietta is the tree. When a University or Physician makes a medical advancement you recognize whomever found it not the people whose lives were altered to find it.

the Rhetorical Analysis of an Adidas Commercial
Adidas Originals Commercial (Starring Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, Odd Future / Dwight Howard)
In the above linked video commercial, a star studded cast of urban style enthusiasts is showcased rocking adidas brand shoes. The director shows these celebrities to convince the viewer that all fly celebrities wear the adidas brand shoes. This utilizes ethos by creating a bandwagoning effect. This is true because without the credibility of these individuals in this advertizement, the purpose would be almost entirely gone. The director also utilizes pathos by showing how fun it is to be involved with these celbrities and their adidas'. The raw emotions of joy and happiness while enjoying the spotlight are prevalent in the entire duration of the ad. Also, the bright colors throughout create an overwhelmingly hyped sensation. Overall, I'd say this is a great ad that utilizes pathos and ethos to the capacity.
